Context
A Modern Cosmetic Clinic Experience
Juv'ae is a brand that empowers individuals to enhance their beauty and confidence through tailored cosmetic treatments, provided by skilled and certified professionals. My design work aimed to reflect Juv'ae’s modern, sophisticated approach, appealing to both potential clients and cosmetic practitioners looking to join their growing network.
Challenge
Lots and lots of iterations and versions to push the limits
I was tasked to assist the senior UX/UI designer with early UI concepts and explorations by producing different design concepts and iterating layouts.
The real challenge was finding the right balance - making sure both felt professional yet approachable without losing consistency.
It pushed me to think more intentionally about visual hierarchy, tone, and how subtle shifts in design can change perception.
Design Approach
- I started by thoroughly researching Juv’ae’s brochure and brand evolution to really understand who they are. I also listened to the client directly and pulled out key words like elegance, trust, and beauty to guide the design.
- From there, I brainstormed those keywords and gathered inspiration, creating a moodboard full of elegant websites in the beauty industry to set the right tone and visual direction.
- I then sketched out low-fidelity layouts to bring my ideas to life which helped me visualise the structure and overall feel of the website before jumping into the detailed design.
Solution
- I drew inspiration from websites that felt both professional and friendly - pulling ideas from what worked and adapting them into my own style.
- When I hit creative blocks, starting fresh on a blank canvas helped me reset and find new direction.
- Getting feedback from others was super valuable as it helped me make clearer design decisions and stay true to the feel I wanted for the website.
UI elements
I used Juv’ae existing logo, clean and elegant fonts - Montserrat and Georgia, and colour palette - navy blue paired with muted neutral tones which embodies a sophisticated yet inviting aesthetic that reflects Juv’ae brand’s identity - modern and approachable, simple and elegant icon - leaf to convey elegance and sleekness.
